Walk and Rock on Shrewsbury Street

Walk and Rock on Shrewsbury Street

If the weather finally clearing isn’t enough to get you out and about maybe great food and music on Worcester’s hopping Shrewsbury Street will.  Tonight a variety of popular restaurants on Shrewsbury St. will be hosting a Worcester event they are calling the the Walk & Rock.  From 6-11pm you can visit a variety of restaurants and pubs including Allgos, Flying Rhino, Brew City and the Piccadilly Pub (just to name a few).  Admission is free courtesy of a few different sponsors including WXLO and WORC-FM.

Similar to the Taste of Shrewsbury event that took place recently you can walk up and down this street to try out different places and see performances from popular musicians primarily from the Central Mass area.  The main difference of this event from the Restaurant Week and Taste of events is that there is live music at the 15 places that are participating.

Sadly the summer is coming to an end soon especially since Worcester Schools open on September 1st this year before Labor Day.  This is a great opportunity to get out and explore more of the many great clubs, restaurants and even bakeries (Sweet) that are on Shrewsbury St.  For a list of all the participating restaurants/pubs as well as the performers that are scheduled to perform visit their website at Walk & Rock Shrewsbury.

The Drunken Uncles are performing at Allgos.  Here is a video of their Pride & Joy performance from one of their previous performances there.
