When you live here it is easy to forget that Massachusetts can be a tourist destination. The Central Massachusetts and Worcester County areas have alot to offer both tourists from outside of Massachusetts and those of us considering “staycations” this year.
The recession is forcing everyone to make smarter choices and vacationing closer to home is becoming more popular. The definition of a staycation varies because it might be more strictly defined as a vacation where you stay at home and do daytrips to activities around your own area. I am among the group that include vacationing in your own state or region in the definition. In this case that would be Central Massachusetts and New England.
