As you go about figuring out what to do for Thanksgiving week 2009 in the Central Mass and Worcester Area you should consider reliving a traditional Thanksgiving meal at Old Sturbridge Village.  Though their Thanksgiving Day is sold out they still have space on Friday November 27th.

For some people this actually works out better since dragging your whole extended family to an event like this is probably less likely than bringing a few people interested in the historical aspect of the holiday.  You will also enjoy the food I'm sure!

Though the Old Sturbridge Thankgiving Day Buffet is sold out it isn't too late to check out some other restaurants that will at least allow you a great Thanksgiving Meal without having to cook.  Here is a list compiled by CentralMass.org with restaurant alternatives.

If you aren't a Black Friday shopper they had a great alternative listed.  Sadly the reference to Wachusett Skiing on Friday is not updated.  I checked their website and because of the mild temperatures their opening day is postponed.  That would have been a great way of burning some of those Thanksgiving Day calories.
