Have you visited Mount Wachusett lately? Ski Season isn’t here yet but Wachusett stays pretty busy on the “offseason”. This weekend they are holding their 19th annual KidsFest festival. This is a great event for older kids with it’s more extreme sports type focus. There will plenty for the younger kids to do but sometimes it is hard to keep the older kids entertained these days.
Wachusett is just under a half an hour away from Worcester in nearby Princeton, Mass. They also have more upcoming festivals before ski related activities begin in mid-November. The Apple and Wine Festivals definitely look interesting.
This weekend’s KidsFest is set to happen rain or shine and also includes face painting and coloring competitions for the younger kids. A special treat will be the Sharkhead Shootout which has been part of the Worcester Sharks Summer Days activities. This will be the last event for their summer days as they get ready to start their hockey season at the DCU Center.
You can purchase tickets in advance to save money, though tickets will be available at the “door”. Be sure to consider purchasing Ski Ride tickets that will give you a great view of the beautiful beginning fall foliage.
