Don’t Miss the Celtic Festival in Webster
Whether you’re Irish or not you may want to check out the Blackstone Valley Celtic Festival in Webster Massachusetts. The 7th annual Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Celtic Festival is taking place at Indian Ranch this Saturday, July 25th. We are planning to bring our children who are half irish so that they can learn a bit more about their heritage. We actually brought them to see President McAleese when she visited Worcester recently.
The featured performers are sure to make you feel closer to Ireland:
- Charlie Zahm
- Coyote Run
- Caddy Finlayson Band
- Burning Bridget Cleary
- Gray School of Irish Dance
- Jug O’ Punch
- George Casey
- Parade Band – Worcester Kiltie
For the children there will be various activities like face painting, games and crafts.
The tickets to the event can be purchased online and that will save you a little money over purchasing them at the event. Visit the Blackstonevalleycelticfestival website for more information.
Hope to see you there!
Here is a video from 2007 that has the children of some of the performers putting a show on of their own.
