Don’t Miss Worcester’s Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra
The Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra will be playing it’s last free summer concert this weekend. In Massachusetts it is easy to forget that there is more than one big orchestra to enjoy. Like the Boston Pops the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra put on an Interdependence day performance. It was part of the free summer concert series that has been taking place for 55 years.
The 3 free summer performances usually take place outdoors at East Park and Institute Park unless there is a rain problem and then they are moved inside to Tuckerman Hall. The last summer concert is taking place this Saturday July 17th at 7pm and focuses on Broadway classics, so don’t miss it.
Please be sure to take note of the orchestra’s other planned performances for 2010 including their famous Holiday Pops performance that will take place in December at Worcester’s Mechanics Hall. This is a great alternative for Central Mass folks who don’t want to drive in to Boston.
If you missed their Independence Day performance here is the first video of the Worcester Fireworks that someone uploaded onto Youtube. You can catch more of them there.
