Kimball Farms Much More Than Ice Cream

As those summer days start dwindling it’s hard not to think about cramming in as many ice cream outings as you can.  Earlier this summer my family and I took a trip up to Kimball Farms based on a friends recommendation about their ice cream.  We were surprised to find much more than that.

Kimball Farm is located in Westford just about a half hour from Worcester.  We were hoping to play some mini golf and get some ice cream but ended up doing and staying for much longer than we planned.

Kimball Farm is celebrating its 70th anniversary and has 2 other locations in Jaffrey, NH and Carlisle, MA.  The Westford location that we went to seems to have the most to do.  They include:

  • Ice Cream
  • Grill and Seafood Shack
  • Country Store
  • The Olde Sawmill Midway (arcade/game type center)
  • Mini Golf/Bumper Boats
  • Pitch and Putt Golf Course
  • Driving Range
  • Ultimate Cruise Night (antique and vintage cars on display)

We had lunch after the Mini Golf with the kids.  Most of the meals offer the option of a nice slice of watermelon like the one in the picture.  I had the clam strips plate and it was awesome.  I always have a hard time finding good clam strips most restaurants usually offer the clams with the belly which I can’t stand.  The clam strip plate did not disappoint.

The kids greatly enjoyed their trip to Kimball Farm and want to go back to participate in everything(like the Bumper Boats and the Olde Sawmill Midway).  It’s definitely on our list for future family day trips.
