Worcester Common Free Summer Concerts Return

Jason James in Worcester
There are still 5 free summer concerts left in 2010 on the Worcester Common. I almost missed this but was thrilled to see that it is back for a second year.
This year the free Out to Lunch concert series will have more food offerings from local restaurants though you can still bring your own lunch. You will also be able to explore a farmer’s market and tables that will be set up by local artisans and craft makers.
The time has been expanded and is now from 11am to 2 pm on Fridays. This is a great way to enjoy free music and take pleasure in the summer sun on the Worcester Common. Here is a quick list of the remaining concerts:
July 30 – The Johnny Dollar Experiment
August 6th – Kalifa and Koliba
August 13 – Afterburner-US Air Force Band of Liberty’s
August 20 – Hat On, Drinking Wine
August 27 – Jason James
For more information on the performers click here. You may still be able to participate as an Artist, Crafter or Farmer at the remaining free concerts. You will need to pay a $25 fee and fill out an application that is available on the site.
Jason James will be closing out the free concerts on the common series in a few weeks. Here is a video of him performing at another Worcester event.
