Flood conditions were the norm yesterday and today as severe weather moved through the Worcester County and Central Massachusetts area. A report on NECN confirms what most of us already know. We are soaked! With plenty of rain in June and the storms that have caused flash flooding in the last couple of days the sewage systems is stretched to the limit.

It has been a particularly hard year in Central Mass. Can anyone forget the ice storms that crippled the region? Today in Hopkinton golf ball size hail was reported. Thankfully the weather forecast calls for brighter skies for the next couple of days.

The bad news is that based on the NECN report population growth and an aging system will continue to make more rain a problem in Worcester County.  I also saw a report that we are probably stuck in this colder wet weather pattern for at least July.  Where’s the summah?
