Not Too Late for Worcester's Farmers Market

Though the temperature is getting a bit brisker it isn’t too late to buy fresh fruit and vegetables at you local Worcester Farmers Market.  I recently saw a story about how well the farmers markets were doing this year on NECN.  Sales have been up almost 20 percent and there is still approximately a month to go for you to take advantage.

We did a story on the farmers markets in Worcester and Central Mass last year.  Though it is obvious that fresh fruit and vegetables are a great health choice many folks are choosing to buy from local farms and farmers markets to help support their local farming industry.

Fruit and vegetables tend to be very expensive so why not make sure you are getting the most for your money.  Fresh local produce tastes better and is better for you.  I know I have been frustrated with the selection at our supermarkets.  If your timing is off what you buy today may have to be thrown out tomorrow.
