Worcester Halloween Events and Activities 2010
In Part 3 of our 2010 Worcester Halloween Guide we are updating our list of Worcester Halloween Events that are still left to do this October. Halloween is about a week away and there are plenty of activities for you and your family to participate in. Last year we missed going to the Great Pumpkin Fest at the Ecotarium. It is taking place tomorrow Saturday from 12-9pm so we should be able to get over there.
This coming week you should have plenty of things left to do for kids particularly at the libraries, schools and youth centers. Please sure to check with them for specifics. The Ecotarium is a great choice and even though it may not seem Halloween related Wachusett is finishing off it’s AppleFest which is more focused on a CelticFest Theme this weekend. Let’s face it Halloween did originate in Ireland with the Celtic Festival of Samhain so it is related. Haunted Higgins at the Higgins Armory Museum is also a good choice with that taking place next Saturday from 11am to 3pm. This is their description:
A Spooktacular Halloween Party for the entire family. Storytelling, trick or treating, creepy crafts, and ghouls and goblins around every corner. Prizes for the best costumes – for both kids and adults!
Sounds like a great way to start off the Halloween Weekend for the family. Another great option for a Halloween event for the family is a trip to Old Sturbridge Village where they have their Bump in the Night exhibits that include a Trail of Terror for older kids. This also takes place next Saturday October 30th but in the evening from 5 to 9pm.
For more adult oriented Halloween Parties the following is what we could find:
Halloween SALSA Dance and Food Drive on Halloween night at the Worcester Hibernian Cultural Centre
Halloween Party with Mass Octane Jillian’s – Worcester
The Deadites Halloween Extravaganza Lucky Dog Music Hall
Dogfish Head Halloween Bash The Dive Bar
Play for Blood Halloween Party Tammany Hall
I am sure there are plenty more Halloween Parties out there in Central Mass. Check out your favorite nightclub’s and bars websites. Many throw Halloween Parties and Contests the weekend of Halloween. Think Friday or Saturday this year, Halloween on a Sunday night can be tough.
Have Fun and Stay Safe!
